One Fine Day in Cadaques
As far as visiting Cadaques is concerned, any excuse is a good excuse.
There is no place like it, especially in winter, when all tourist activity is paused and local people just do their thing, slowly, carefree and with attitude.
So when Florin and Monica told us they were coming to see us, we knew this was going to be our number one destination.
It was a hot February day and we had no plan or agenda beyond simply being outside and together. While wandering around the old town, we decided to take advantage of this idyllic scenery and take a few photos of this fine couple, and not without a reason – they are getting married later this year. Suddenly, it became exactly what a perfect pre wedding photo shooting should feel like– a fun day out that we will never forget. There is no need to brag about how good these two look together…

They hosted us in their amazing house in Vilajoan (Catalunya). We fell in love with the vibe of their living, and the village also and I realised that this is called “life”. They shared with us a lot of experiences of their region, that a simple tourist would not ever have. And more than that, they created for us a beautiful story, straight from the lenses of their cameras, the story of our love. We will let the photos speak for themselves. FLORIN: “I met Andreu in 2017 to a “Fearless” conference in Budapest. Since then, we shot two wedding together and i couldn’t wait to meet his “better half”, Ale. We were very excited to arrive in Catalunya, and it was awesome, as we expected. They took good care of us and all our experience finished with some great memories for me and my baby.”
Garden wedding in the Rain
When we arrived to Maude´s family house in Grasse- France, Manu, the groom, was waiting for us by the driveway. Many friends and family members were already there and they have just finished eating their lunch in the garden. This very same garden was to host a wedding celebration later this evening.
It was a hot summer day, but you could feel storm in the air. It was going to rain without a shred of doubt. Despite the prediction, every single person gathered in this beautiful old garden shared the same carefree holiday mood. There was a big protective tent installed all over the tables and the dance floor. It was meant to be an outdoor garden wedding and no rain was going to spoil it. Just as everyone went to get ready for church, the heavens opened!
As if on request, the rain stopped for an hour, when the bride was about to come out of the house. It poured again as we all arrived back from the church. Despite all this water, this garden wedding turned into a fantastic part. No one seemed to care that, by the end of the night, the white wooden dance floor looked just like the rest of the muddy garden. Some guests abandoned their shoes and danced knee-deep in the mud as if it was brought there for their pleasure.
Falling in love in Oxford
To celebrate the place where they first met, Ana and Neil returned to Oxford for a daytrip. And they invited us to join them!
This Pre-wedding session was not only a chance to photograph the two of them in fun and relaxed circumstances. It was a perfect excuse to experience a new adventure. We are always thrilled to discover new places and to hear stories our couples have to tell.
The stories Oxford could tell us are undoubtedly endless.
Being able to just walk the old streets of this town already feels like a privilege. It made us think off all those great minds that walked them before us: J.R.R. Tolkien, Oscar Wilde, Stephen Hawkin, Indira Gandhi.
It also made us wonder what it must feel like for those young students to arrive here hoping to get a taste of greatness, wishing to become a part of something extraordinary. The famous Bridge of Sighs has been there the whole time and will be there weather they succeed or fail to accomplish their dreams.
Once we passed the walls off the University building we were transformed to a totally different world. The interiors of the campus are extensive and intimidating. Oxford is the oldest surviving university in the English-speaking world. It is over 900 years old. Those walls have seen it all! Including filming of the Harry Potter saga. We could not resist and took a quick shot in the famous Great Hall inside the Christ Church College. Thanks to Diogo, our unofficial tour guide, we also located the famous stairway used in the film, and a small archway where Harry first arrives at Hogwarts.
We also uncovered some paths that belong exclusively to Ana and Neil, paths that shape their own, utterly unique Oxford story.

Dinner under the stars
This was an elegant “haute couture” wedding designed with style and a great taste! Every little detail mattered to Maria, the bride to be!
“She thought it all through and had it all under control” – Hugo, the future groom assured us.
When you have a clear vision of what your wedding should look like, do not conform, be persistent and have it your way! Maria managed to have a little chapel opened just for them, she insisted on replacing traditional name cards with carefully selected stones and despite the rain prediction she hosted an outdoor candle diner under the stars. She even kept the wedding venue a secret until the very end.
The most important thing about planning your wedding is to know that the planning ends when the wedding day begins! Maria and Hugo found the happy medium and proved that it is possible to have your perfect wedding vision come true and still fully enjoy playing the leading role on the big day.
They knew how to live and appreciate every single moment! They laughed and cried and danced and laughed even more!
They carefully picked a team of professionals and put themselves in their hands. The wedding planner Claudia & co. from Entre Tonos Pastel was on top of every single detail. The cheery stuff from the venue Xalet del Nin made everyone feel welcome and at home. The catering Sensacions prepared sensational cocktail and dinner under the stars of the Mediterranean Sea.
It was nothing but perfect!

I know it´s only Rock and Roll…but I like it
The first thing Laura and Albert said to us was “we don´t like big weddings and we are not having one”. What they had in mind was an intimate ceremony in the backyard of a local boutique hotel and a rock and roll party in a traditional Menorcan countryside house.
It was a week of local fiestas in Albert´s hometown Ferreries (Menorca) and all the streets were decorated with colorful ribbons. Hotel Ses Sucres is located close to the groom´s family home so, on the day of his wedding, he walked there accompanied by his family and friends.
The backyard of this eccentric hotel offered a very simple but picturesque surrounding for a wedding ceremony. Yellow was the color of the day!
After the ceremony, everyone followed the newlyweds to the final destination – garden of a beautiful white house in the middle of the fields. There was a self-service open bar, a vintage neon light with bride and groom´s initial and plenty of life music. The DJ played all time classics only from vinyl records and, as far as we are concerned, this event made it to the top on the list of non-traditional weddings.

Sometimes a great location is all you need to assure a beautiful and dramatic result. With Carlos and Yasmine, we traveled to Cap de Creus, a magical headland located close to the French border, at the far northeast of Catalunya, Spain.
In this photo-shoot we decided to focus on textures and the omnipresent, surreal landscape.
The cape is a magical place that attracts not only hikers, but also artists. It inspired many paintings of locally born Salvador Dalí. The painter moved here from his birth town Figueres. His eccentric but beautiful house is located in a tiny fisherman town Porlligat, Cadaqués and can be visited during holiday season.
On the highest hill of the cape, right by the Lighthouse, you can stop for a cold beer, try homemade local food and, if you are lucky, enjoy the sunset accompanied by a free life music performance and the most amazing sea views in the area.
Wedding in the heart of Barcelona – Hotel Miramar
This was not a typical wedding. Some guest wore saris while others put on kilts. In fact, the groom himself had a personalized kilt designed especially for the occasion. The bride chose traditional white, but it did not stop her from performing for her newly married husband with a group of Bollywood dancers.
There were soap bubbles, Scottish Whiskey in personalized flasks, inflatable doll on a wheelchair and tones of laughter mixed with tears of happiness.
While planning their wedding, Ana and Neil put tradition on hold and took things in their own hands. They followed their personal vision and organized a tailor-made wedding to fit them, and only them, perfectly. They got married in the heart of Barcelona. Hotel Miramar is situated on top of Montjuic right in front of the sea. It is an ideal destination to celebrate a city wedding, the views are fantastic and the city center is just round the corner.

Marry me in La Baronia
There is no question about it. La Baronia with its movie-like deco makes for an ideal wedding location! This fairytale house, also known by the name of Can Bosch, is a textbook example of the XX century Art Nouveau architecture (Spanish Modernismo). Built by Antonio Gaudi´s student Joan Rubió y Bellver, this astonishing family house lived through some swinging times before it was converted into a wedding venue by the third generation of owners.
Felisha and Steve came all the way from Los Angeles to Barcelona to celebrate their destination wedding in this dreamy scenery. The house facade with its adjacent gardens does not require much additional decoration. Everything looks great just the way it is! The interiors of the building offer fantastic background for a photo shoot. Cocktail and dinner can be hosted outside and the views are splendid.

A Bride who went fishing
One day after the wedding of Jorgina and Miquel in San Carlos de la Rapita, Tarragona, their family boat was due to set sail from the local port. Jorgina´s father is a fisherman and he owns a large fishing boat. Many male members of the family work for him. We simply could not resist the opportunity to witness their return to the port after a day fishing in the Mediterranean Sea. This is how our post-wedding reportage in Delta del Ebro started.
As soon as the boat was moored, the fishermen worked really fast to download all the fish, before the fearless seagulls get to it. We felt lucky and privileged to be allowed on board in the middle of the action. Gal·la, Jorgina and Miquel´s little daughter, was delighted to see her grandfather and uncles work. She was not afraid to inspect the daily catch and posed with a fish in her hand proving that the fishermen´s blood runs in her veins.
When the day of hard work ended in the port, we moved on to the nearby rice fields, the most emblematic landmark of the region. This time of the year, the luscious green rice plant is already sprouting above the ground level, but the flooded black soil is still the dominating texture. In a month, those lands will turn into endless lawns of green.
Delta of the river Ebro is probably the most authentic and unspoiled agricultural region of Catalunya, but it is also renown for its incredible, natural beaches, dunes and swamps. To show the cross section of this magical place, we ended our session by the beach, right where the river reaches the seawaters. The sunset there is so unique, that no camera can capture its true beauty.
