Getting married at Hotel Miramar can be a truly magical choice—here’s why couples often choose it:
Hotel Miramar is often located on elevated ground or by the sea (depending on the city—Barcelona, for example, has a gorgeous one). This means stunning views of the coastline, city, or gardens—perfect for your ceremony backdrop and photos.
Many Hotel Miramar locations combine historical architecture with modern amenities. That means you’ll get timeless elegance (think grand staircases, romantic arches, marble floors) paired with high-end comfort and service.
You can host your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and even your guests all in one place. This not only makes things easier logistically but also adds to the experience by creating a “wedding bubble” for the day or weekend.
Hotels like Miramar often have renowned chefs and customizable wedding menus, allowing you to offer a fine dining experience that reflects your tastes.
You’ll typically work with an experienced team that handles everything from setup to timeline coordination, so you can actually enjoy your day.
Imagine getting ready in a beautiful suite with lots of natural light, having a post-wedding spa treatment, or hosting a brunch the next day—all without leaving the venue.
Whether you’re into elegant, classic, modern, or even boho-chic aesthetics, the venue often offers the perfect canvas for your dream wedding design.

First of all, as a destination wedding photographer, capturing Ann and Ian’s Irish wedding at El Cortijo del Marqués in Granada was an unforgettable experience. This beautifully restored Andalusian country house, nestled among ancient olive groves just 30 km from the city, provided a serene and picturesque setting for their celebration.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear this wedding would be something special. Because the couple’s decision to bring their Irish heritage to the heart of southern Spain created a unique and heartfelt fusion of cultures. The ceremony, set under the warm Andalusian sun, was deeply emotional. Meanwhile, the rustic charm of the venue enhanced each moment, giving the images an authentic and timeless feel.
Following the ceremony, the atmosphere transitioned seamlessly into a relaxed cocktail hour. Guests mingled in the sunlit courtyard, savoring local Spanish delicacies. As golden hour approached, we took advantage of the stunning natural light for intimate couple portraits. The soft, golden tones of the Spanish landscape made for a truly magical backdrop.
Later, as the sun dipped behind the Sierra Nevada mountains, the celebration moved indoors. The mood shifted from calm to electric as the reception kicked off. With traditional Irish music and a touch of Spanish flair, the dance floor quickly filled with energy and laughter. It was a joy to document such vibrant, candid moments.

Let’s the show begin! The groom’s preparation and the bride’s preparation are two completely different worlds. Something each must do alone before meeting at the altar.
Every groom experiences it in his own unique way, but one thing always remains the same—an undeniable electricity in the air. It’s a moment charged with emotion, much like the anticipation in a theater dressing room, where the leading man prepares for his grand debut. As a wedding photographer, capturing this quiet intensity before the ceremony begins is one of the most powerful parts of the story.
On this day, there’s no room for improvisation. The role is clear: suit up, look your best, and wait for the moment to arrive….
The most important thing is that, on this day, no groom will ever be alone. He will be surrounded by familiar faces, laughter, and pure joy. With the best support and a powerful surge of courage from his friends, he is ready to step into the most important moment of his life.

Let’s the show begin!
Art & weddings go hand in hand. Since I first discovered street photography, I started asking myself where the limits lie between artistic photography and documental photography. Now that my professional work is inseparably connected with documenting people and their important life moments, I think about it even more.
Can we, as wedding photographers, also identify as artists?
Or is it our duty to honestly show the reality and withdraw ourselves from interpretation and judgment? Is it even possible to separate those two processes?
And finally, how big is our role as chroniclers in writing collective memory for our society?
As a documentary wedding photographer, I often find myself walking a fine line between truth and artistry. Wedding photography is more than staged portraits and posed smiles—it’s about capturing raw emotion, fleeting glances, and the subtle poetry of real-life moments. This is where artistic wedding photography truly shines: in the in-between.
I have picked some of my photographs that may or may not be considered traditional wedding photography. I hope this becomes an invitation to a broader discussion about what it means to document love, life, and art all at once.

A Rustic Wedding at El Mariner – Capturing Love in the Heart of Camprodon Valley
As a wedding photographer, few venues inspire me as much as El Mariner, a stunning rustic farmhouse nestled in the Camprodon Valley, Catalonia. María and Genís chose this breathtaking spot to celebrate their love, and from the moment I arrived, I knew this wedding would be something truly special.
The day began with quiet, intimate preparations. The bride wedding dress hung gracefully beside the wooden beams, echoing the timeless charm of El Mariner.
The outdoor ceremony was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by rolling hills and the Pyrenees in the distance, the couple exchanged vows under a canopy of trees, while guests sat among wildflowers and rustic wooden benches. Every photograph told a story of connection—not just between María and Genís, but between all the people they love.
As the sun set, the celebration moved to the garden, where long tables dressed in natural linens and candles created a warm, romantic atmosphere. The speeches, laughter, and spontaneous dancing under twinkle lights made for unforgettable moments—and images full of life and soul.
Capturing this day reminded me why I do what I do. There’s nothing quite like photographing real, raw joy in such an authentic setting. If you’re dreaming of a Catalan countryside wedding, this venue—and the love stories it hosts—deserve to be remembered forever.
